Our 2019 Ash Wednesday service was a chance to practice some of the spiritual formation exercises we’ll be using throughout the next six weeks to get in the presence of Jesus so that He can form us into people who can follow Him to the cross on Good Friday and out of the tomb on Easter Sunday. This recording includes Phyllis Tickle’s Vespers Office for Ash Wednesday, a centering prayer, lectio divina, and prayer of examen, plus an example of how to bring in the week’s “conversation with Jesus” at the end.
